Hi, I can't get X to work quite right. I was configuring my video card in the install, and I tested it at 640x480, and it worked just fine, it took a while, but the test window came up. Then, when I boot it, it does a graphical login like it should, then X boots up and I get a command prompt window that I have to move into place, and all I can get is that, I wonder if it has to do with the windows manager, but I tried "xdm" and I didn't get anything, so I don't know, if you know please reply!!

I think the problem is likely the display manager.

what you can do is boot up in console mode and use 'startx' and see if you get any error messages related to the X server.
