Glad I could help.
Bugs can be filed at http://bugs.freedesktop.org/, though I couldn't say where; I just grabbed that from the top of the error EDIT: Don't know about version on pacman, the man page should help, and this X server isn't due for release until Oct 2010, so no clue when it'll be fixed, or even why it gave you that version |
I think I heard that pacman's config file can have an ignore list in it, I will read how to use it and add xorg-server there. Just have to remember that at October :).
And I will check out that link and see if I could figure out how to file a bug. |
Haha, yeah- hopefully they'll have it sussed by then- rather an important program to leave so full of errors ;)

I added xorg-server to pacman's ignore list.

I have another "problem" (maybe):
Code:
$ sudo pacman -Syu Anyway I will try to install it, because it's a newer version than the one that had problems. Can always downgrade later. |
I found out why it didn't ignore xorg-server — the line was commented out!
I guess it was a happy mistake, though, because I restarted X and it still seems to be working fine now, even after opening and closing a few windows. |
