Unhappy X errors with TELNET

hi all,

i need a PERMANENT solution to the following problem: when i try to run a GUI thing when i'm telnetting to some remote host, i get:
XLib: no protocol specified error msg. I can fix this temperorily by saying xhost + and then telnetting, but that is of no use to me. I want a system-level (that affects all users) access that allows me to telnet to any remote system and run GUI stuff from it. I've even tried editing my /etc/X0.hosts file but whatever I do it doesnt allow me access to all hosts. (i've tried both a + and a * in it.)

thx

I hope someone will help out this n00b instead of just saying:

put that in ure /etc/profile OR
use ssh instead, its more secure.

As far as my knowledge goes, you can't use X or run X apps thru telnet. It doesn't have any type of X forwarding capabilities.

Also, telnet isn't secure. If you want a secure connection and also capabilities of using X, use ssh.
