WxWidgets

I know very little about WxWidgets. If I want to start from scratch where do you think is the best place to learn? The WxWidgets website? man pages? Book recommendations, anyone? Anybody know a great tutorial website? (I usually like to do tutorials first and then read the technical stuff, easier to soak it in that way.)

Personally I learned with this tutorial: http://www.zetcode.com/tutorials/wxwidgetstutorial/. I used it just to learn the wxWidgets philosophy and then I used just API documentation whenever I needed anything. By the way, why do you want to learn wxWidgets, when there's QT available under LGPL at the time?

I don't know. Maybe it is a bad decision. I am groping in the dark because I have never used a serious GUI kit.

Oh I remember. Because I compiled Code::Blocks on my machine and to make it work I had to compile WxWidgets with the GTK+ option and it works fine. I have no other reason. I am not in love with WxWidgets.

Why should I use QT instead? All I want is the one that is easiest and fastest to learn and that I can cross compile for Windows and Linux. I don't need tons of functionality. If QT is the easiest then I guess that is all I really need to know.

Also if QT is a better decision then again I would appreciate anybody's input on best way to learn it, books, websites, tutorials, etc.
