WXGA laptop and nvidia tvout

I have an HP laptop with a WXGA widescreen LCD and nvidia GeForce 400 Go 64MB chip w/ S-Video output. I have followed many guides and tutorials, but I have failed miserably every time trying to get the output on the TV working. Can anoyone help me? I think the problem is that this is a laptop with WXGA screen and that is causing some issues.

Kernel: 2.6.9-gentoo-r1 (x86_64)
driver: nvidia
GUI: Xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1

Thanks in advance...

Kristian Hermansen
