www.clubrunner.ca fails with Linux
I have a consistent problem trying to access http://www.clubrunner.ca
It quickly loads www.clubrunner.ca/Home, and then gets stuck, saying "Connecting..." indefinitely. I have tried Firefox, Opera and Chrome, with the same effect. This happens on Ubuntu 10.4, both on my home router and on public WiFi spots. The site works fine with a Windows machine, using either Firefox or IE. But it fails when I run XP in a VirtualBox VM, under Ubuntu 10.4 Any clues, please? |
Works fine on Slackware 13.37 with Firefox 6.02, Konquerer from KDE 4.5.5 and Seamonkey 2.3.3. Don't have Opera or Chrome installed, so I can't try that.

I have the same issue with Slackware 13.1. Any (GUI) browser, text (CLI) ones load it.
Trying to trace the problem I found it keep an open connection to 184.106.251.241 (184-106-251-241.static.cloud-ips.com). Seeing your source I've found many "objects" pointing to that network. I guess it could be a "non-conventional" object like a video which is causing the endless loop. |
Clubrunner.ca
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried again with an OpenSUSE Live CD, and still can't view this site.
I get a 404 error with curl and wget when I look at www.clubrunner.ca/Home. I have the same problem with a FreeBSD system. |
http://www.clubrunner.ca/Home gives 404, which indicates that this directory/file does not exist at that location. (here i'm trying it on windows aswel, and it gives also 404)
http://www.clubrunner.ca/ loads fine on both Ubuntu, Centos and windows (all with firefox) |
