I recently installed Ubuntu 8.10 using wubi installer and it was working fine. Later I got a system message to upgrade to 9.04 and I did that but the upgrade failed. I uninstalled ubuntu in windows and try to run wubi again to updgrade to 9.04 but of no avail. When I try to run the wubi.exe it fails.

I would appreciate the feedback.

Hi SimhaK, and welcome to LQ.

Have you removed Ubuntu using the Add/Remove Programs tool? Have you removed all the associated files (under C:\Ubuntu by default) as well?

That is a good feedback. I used add/remove programs to remove ubuntu but I never checked c:\ubuntu. I will check that and see that makes a difference.
