wu-ftp - setting up guest accounts

Hello,
I am using http://www.wu-ftpd.org/HOWTO/guest.HOWTO to set up guest access into a specific directories. I have had some success but have reached a sticking point. When I log in with a ftp client I receive this response in the log...

I can successfully login but cannot see the files in the directory or upload files to the directory.

I know that I am having trouble with steps
4. Building the contents of -/bin directory...and
5. Building the contents of -/etc directory.

Can anyone offer any suggestions of the best way to proceed? I am using RH 7.0 and wu-ftp 2.6.1

Thanks.

I solved this problem by putting a static ls file in the -/ftpuser/bin directory under directory.

If you are using mandrake or redhat, there's an RPM you can install to put the proper files in place. anonftp is the name of it.
