wt cli() does in linux ??

wt the cli() does in linux ??? does it disable interrupts on all processor or only on local processor ??? or is it depends tht frm which context it is called ??? say for example if it is called from interrupt handler thn will desable interrupts only on current processor (by clearing IF flag of eflags register) or else on all the processor ????

i think only one processor can be in a cli/sti pair at a time but that one processor goes imediately and get a global lock thus blocking all interupt handeling (i think)??

get_irqlock(), called from __global_cli (and asm-i386/system.h #defines cli() to __global_cli())
