Writting permissions for NTFS partitions
 
Please tell me if there is any way that a SUSE LINUX 10 can write to a windows NTFS partitions. I mention that it can see my partition and if I plug in an external HDD with USB, also formatted in NTFS, it can writte to it. I don't know why it can't do the same thing for my local NTFS partition.

You need to mount the partition with rw attributes but at you own risk (NTFS writing is experimental).

I can't do that! Every time I mount that partition it mounts with only read permission

some stock kernels have ntfs write ability turned off the only solution is to recompile your kernel with the ntfs write flag turned on
yes it is expermental but i can say it does work and has not fragged my harddrive
yet
