Write Lead-In Error

I get errors in both Fireburner and FantomCD when I try to burn the Mandrake ISO. It says that it can't write the the lead-in. The cache setting is 128mb (max) of my 512mb.. I used md5sum and it just gives me a hexidecimal string. I don't know what it means. I downloaded it with FTP. So I have no idea what's wrong. I've never burned the *.iso format before.

Here is the string: J:\Apps\Mandrake 9.2>md5sum mandrake92-cd1-inst.i586.iso
40c8812dce7b9f8fb0a3b364af62b974 *Mandrake92-cd1-inst.i586.iso

Running the md5sum on your image should produce the same number that is displayed on the vendor's site. As long as the numbers match, you are golden. If the burn doesn't work, you might want to try burning at a slower speed, ie, 16X or 8X, no matter how fast your CDRW might be. -- J.W.

The sums match.

(M HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8520B (3:0) : RAW DAO Write Mode - RAW-PW(96)
AM 11:38:42 (M HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8520B (3:0) : [Write Lead-In area ERROR] : -0011231 - -0000151
S:KEY - 00/00/00 - "No Additional Sense Information"

I get "Write Lead-In area ERROR" for other images, but a PREGAP error for the linux iso. I managed to burn a different image type in Fireburner. What are the correct Fireburner setttings for burning *.iso?

Which of the track options work for the iso format? Track-at-once didn't work.
