what he said, as soon as you hit the \ key hit the return/enter key no white space... trying ... trying .... trying ....

\[newline char]<-- cannot have any white space
other wise you'll get another hidden newline char that is not being excaped by the backslash, and check try the spaces leading up to the backslash using different combo. I had a script I had problems with using this methoid got it to work.
