Unhappy World of warcraft problems

hey im a new linux user so please dont all laugh at me.

i was wondering are there any linux users that play world of warcraft (i do realise blizzard don't support linux thats why im asking in here) if there are any people here who do play it i would appreciate your help

i downloaded todays performance patch and had to restart the game for it to install the patch and i got an error window saying

"this application has encounted a critical error:
success
Program: G:\win\world of warcraft\BNUpdate.exe
function: createprogressdialog failed"

i restarted the game and it said the patch was downloaded succesfully and to restart so i did and it said no patches to install.

i have tried running the blizzard downloader manually through cedega but i got the same problems i know theres a way round this because other people run the game on linux

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease can someone help me

Wow on gentoo

There is a rather extensive guide on how to install and run wow on a gentoo sytem here.
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Install...raft_with_wine

It is rather heavy duty hacking (haven't tried it, since im too low lvl in gentoo

But I would urge you to sign the blizzard linux petition here:
http://www.blizzpub.net/petition/

already have 15000 signatures.. need 5000 more for blizzard to be convinced
