working without mouse
 

i am having redhat linux, i am not knowing how to work without mouse? pl anyone to help from this

Do you mean that your system is configured for commandline only (on purpose)?
Or do you mean that your system is configured for commandline only (by accident)?
Or do you mean that you have a graphical interface but the mouse does not work?

For the first one, you can go to http://tldp.org/ and start reading.
For the second one you can try the startx command after login.

You didn't answer the question about whether you are running a GUI or not. You should really tell us what it is that you want to do with your keyboard if you want someone to tell you how to do it. If you are indeed running a GUI and you want something designed to let you do everything without a mouse maybe you should have a look at Ion.

From your reply, I'm now assuming that you do have a GUI, so the next question is which window manager you're using (gnome, kde, xfce, fvwm, ...).

In gnome (the only one that I know a little bit), <alt><F1> should be a start

Maybe you can also tell us which distro you're using.

If your using KDE press "ALT + F1" to bring up the kde menu, use arrow keys to go up-to control-center then press "ENTER" to open.

once control center is open use the "TAB" button until "Appearance and themes" is highlighted, then use the "DOWN" arrow key to highlight peripherals then use the "Right" arrow to expand the menu, use the "DOWN" arrow to highlight mouse then press the "ENTER" key to open the mouse dialog. Press "TAB" until the "GENERAL" tab is highlighted then use the "Right" arrow key to goto "MOUSE NAVIGATION". Press "TAB" until "MOVE POINTER WITH KEYBOARD" is highlighted then press "SPACE BAR" to select. Use the "TAB" key to move to "APPLY".

You should now be able to move the mouse cursor with your right side number pad. (Make sure numlock is on)
