Unhappy working with suse linux

Hi, this is all really confusing I'm trying to work with SUSE 9.2, but I don't have the foggiest what I'm doing, no audio when playing a cd, I can't set up a network connection - in short I'm more likely to go back to Windows than try and persevere with Linux - any pointing in the right direction to a really easy to understand reference would be much appreciated.

What have you done so far?

Have you attempted to configure anything via YAST? (open a terminal type yast2)

i had the same error/problem on my computer and the solution was:

in linux you need to have a four-pin audio cable connected from your cdrom to your motherboards audio cd input connector. this should do the work.

hope this will help you.
