wont reboot mandrake 9.1
 

Hi , I have just tried to load mandrake 9.1 for the first time.It is loaded on to a partition after win 98. Every thing goes well in the installation until it finishes and reboots I can not get it to boot. It just goes thropugh the bios routine and then after the verifying DMI pool data prints on the screen

L 99 99 99 99 99 99 continuing for half a screen before asking to press a key to reboot.
I have tries reloading the boot loader installation through the rescue but that made no difference. During the reinstalling of the boot loader it comes up with

Installing sonypi (for Intel Corporation 82711ab PIIX4 ACPI Bus Master Ide controller
packdrake unable to fin sonypi.0 in archive/modules/modules.cz cant find sonypi module
failed
The rest of the instructions seem to be OK


Iam trying to install it onto a 200mmx pc with 64mb ram and 2 gb spare hard drive space ater win98.
Any ideas,

try downloading a knoppix live cd. Boot to knoppix and edit the lilo config for your sysem and execute lilo command manually and see if that helps
