Wolvix live cd won't run on Rock xtreme laptop
 

I downloaded wolvix hunter 1.1.0 and created a disk which ran as a live disk with no problems on my desktop and my old laptop onto which I did a hd install. However on the other laptop it will not run as even a live disk. I press enter at the login prompt to commence the boot of the disk but the statusbar only gets about two thirds of the way across before the screen goes completely blank, no cursor, no activity from the dvd drive or hd. Pressing F2 will not allow me to enter verbose mode during the install either. I have not been able to run live cds of vector or goblin on this laptop either.
The laptop in question has vista and ubuntu 7.10 dual booted on it at the moment with no problems. The laptop is a 2.0ghz core 2 duo with 2g of ram.
