WLAN in Suse 10.1

Hi all,
as this is my first post here, a short introduction to myself:
I would count my self as an experienced computer user, especially in hardware matters, however in GNU/Linux I am an absolute noob.
To my Problem:
I want to connect to my wireless network in Suse 10.1. So I launch KWiFi, and press "Search for Networks"* but none are being found. In YasT2 under Network*>DSL*>Netwokcards* the wireless adapter is being listed. Other computers (windows -that'll change slowly) can connect to the wireless network.

Thank you for your help,
baking-a-77

*Might not be the original wording as it has been freely translated by me form German.

Found out that the t-154data works fine with ndiswrapper. So I downloaded it and burned it to a CD, however when I want to install the drive cannot be mounted, allthough all the data on the CD is visible under file:/media.

Well can you copy the file to your home directory and work with it from there?
