Wireless windows OS
 

I have recently set up a Mepis machine (an old Pentium I machine) to a windows system in my home. When I hook up the Win OS I have no problem staying connected to the router but with my Mepis system I keep losing my connection. It shows that I still have an IP address but will not hook up to my weather or the net. It seems after I reboot and play with it for awhile (changing my DHCP settings around and around) Then it finally comes to life. Next I will try and get the 2 to communicate. After this I am going to try andf set it up so it is a gaming server. Is anyone there to help witrh these steps?

Could you give some more details about your networking setup? I can deduce that you have two computers and a router, and I'm guessing that at least one of them is using a wireless LAN connection. However, you haven't provided sufficient detail for anything beyond that.

Please provide some networking details, including what is connected to what, and what networking cards are being used.
