Exclamation Wireless usb wg111 not recognized ?

I just recently began my transition into LINUX. So far it's been fun but difficult at times. My situation is I am using the "live" cd version of MEPIS and it's been a good experience. My problem is when I plug the Netgear usb wireless adapter in, it is not recognized and is not lit. The ethernet works but the usb doesn't. How do I get the usb adapter on ???

Tosh Notebook
Mepis "live" linux cd
Netgear wireless usb wg111

Any help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance !

Linux has a hard time with Wireless USB devices .

Some have drivers, others you have to use ndiswrapper to get working.
