wireless usb optical mouse

Hi I recently instal MAndrake 9.1 on a laptop
1) All was happily work while i wanted to add a wireless optical usb mouse (a had not other one in that time) Touch pad appears as usb mouse with ps2 interface, but works fine, finally after using add mouse several times doesnot work none of the mices e.g. touchpad, touchstik, i hardly tries till i got mouse in num pads, it wasn't funny. Can i add 2-3 mouses and where they appears?
2) Besides how to change desktop in kde for root user, right click of mouse does not display Display properties. (Its because i cant look on that bloody background.)
3) I tried to instal wine (from manual) and stops on command "configure". In manual tiped such string "./configure --with-x --enable-opengl --without trace --without-debug" but it wont works.
Should i use it if i have opengl at all? Should i type it from \wine directory? Does i need to unpack that *.gz files for installing?
4)Could i push Linux GUI start installation again or part of it, because i did not find that things, such as unicode fonts, automatical detection of mouse etc?
All suugestions will be appreciated.

It looks like reinstalling may be a good idea. Also, you have wine included on your Mandrake CDs, so you don't need to get them from somewhere else.

Also, it is a very bad idea to run a graphical login as root. The possibilities for destroying your system are almost endless. Open a console as a user and su to root instead.

I have a wireless usb mouse. I attatch a usb/serial adapter and use the Linux's generic serial mouse drivers. It works fine. I just can't use the middle scroll bar. However, i'm using redhat 8.0.

thanks for everybody wine and simpl ps2 mouse works fine
just none of Windows programs wont work i was searching for long time till i discover where did he put program files /var/lib/wine
but anyway i cant run them, how can i know, what version of wine i have and what version of directx it is compatible? I tries different setings, btw i bought a disc where lies newest wine and mesa, but it says opengl is older than mine and wine wont install at all, shoul i uninstal the older one- how can i upgrade? On that disc there was diferent programs but without ./configure files or instal files, and of course without source code. Corel Photopaint9 installs fine even appears in apps folder but when i run it it says cant find FonntTastic programme. Antivirus programme has only application, would it be enough to put shell script in init.d catalog? Can anybody suggest some programme for i surely can test wine?
