wireless signal strength applet

Hi :)

I need a little applet or something for the taskbar for Ubuntu 9.04 or 9.10 that shows me the signal strength of my wireless connection. It seems that the standard "network manager" does not show this although it looks as though it should. I tried WiCd but that broke my system.

If there is a conky script for this instead then that would be great to know as an alternative

Thanks and regards from
Tom :)

I think the default network manager shows the wireless strength.

Rutilt is handy. Written primarily for managing wireless connections on ralink chipsets, it works as a signal indicator for any wireless connection. Start it with the command 'rutilt -t' to put it in the tray.

I believe there is a Ubuntu package.
