Hello Emo Elmo

Fedora Core 3 is really very old now. Fedora discontinues support for old distributions on the basis of "support current and one previous".

As they are on Fedora 8 now you can see support for 3 was discontinued some time ago.

The reason for pointing that out is that Linux wireless has been one of the fastest evolving areas of the last couple of years.

You are going to need all sorts of add on bits to get 3 to work with any wireless and I doubt they are available now.

Any chance you could get hold of Fedora 8 which has a pretty good success rate with wireless cards?

If you try using:

/sbin/lspci -v

in a terminal window, some of the information in the output should relate to your card. If you copy and paste the relevant information into a post here it'll be easier to give some help.

thanks for the help, I will download a more current version of fedora.

Hello Emo Elmo

If Fedora 8 still has problems with your card, post back with the output of the command:

/sbin/lspci -v

just the part that relates to the wireless network card and someone will be able to give more relevant help.
