Can someone please tell me if My essentials wireless
G router using a F5D7050 adapter will work with Ubuntu 12.10? Please forgive if I have done this wrong. my first.

Have you tried it and, if so, what happened?

try bootin ubuntu with usb key/ cdrom so you can see if it is working natively without making changes to your computer. You can make bootable usb with unetbootin.
