Question wireless not working with ubuntu 8.1

I am new to ubuntu. I was able to down load a driver that ubuntu recommended. I activated the driver but it does not see the broadcom 43xx.
I know there are updated ver. but in reading they have wireless problems also.

What does your "lspci" output show for the wireless card ?

When you load the module ... run "dmesg" to see what output is.

Sorry ... typo

After you load the b43 module ... if you already have the driver loaded ... then unload it
Code:
# rmmod b43
then load it
Code:
# modprobe b43
Look at the messages from
Code:
# dmesg
The last messages should pertain to the module that was just loaded.
