Wireless Networking

Hello again. I'm sorry for all the posts, but I am totally new to Linux. I am trying to get my Compaq WL100 Wireless Card to work under Linux. Here's where I stand. I have the card in my laptop. I *tried* to rebuild the kernel (see my post "Kernel Recompile Problem) twice. And I did not include PCMCIA support because I read a website ( about wireless networking that said to use pcmcia-cs instead. How should I go about this??

Here are 2 websites you can use with step by step instructions that worked perfectly for me...

Good luck!

Phyberoptix, neither of your sites worked for me. I can't find the correct wlan package for my computer and can't figure out how to setup wireless lan without wlan. I have got it to the point that the card blinks when out of range and is solid otherwise -- like it is in WinXP. However, links and Konquer still say "Unknown Host." no matter what site I go to. Can anyone please help me?!?
