Question Wireless Modem Question

Okay, i tried this question in the old forms... no attempt to answer from anyone. Being that things seem a bit more lively here i can get a bite.

Anyway, I recently hooked up with Ricochet for my ISP. But, of course I can't get the frickin modem to work under Linux. Winblows... no problem.

I run Suse 8.1 btw.

I found some info on getting the modem to run under RedHat... so on another computer I installed RedHat 9.0 and after a bit of trouble got the modem to work under Redhat.

No deals with Suse though.

I'm sure some Linux god or at least lesser diety can guide or advise a fool like me.

I'm not a total Linux newbie, been using it for 2 years but have never delved real deep in to it. Very rarely go into text mode as an example and when i do I usually have cheat sheets before me to accomplish what ever it is I want to accomplish.

So, that should give you an idea as to my Linux knowledge.... limited.

This is double posting and is against the rules. You really should post things in the most appropriate forum they belong in (like you did) and hope for the best. Posting your question again is double posting, linking to your post is cross posting, these are against the rules.

If you don't get a response after waiting for at least a day, I think it's suffcient to say it's ok to bump. But don't go bumping every 5 minutes either, that's just not a good idea

FYI, this is just to introduce yourself, not ask questions (unless they are related to your introduction which this is clearly not).

Here's the link to your original question in case anyone wants to respond appropriately:
