Wireless internet trouble

I have Fedora 8(Linux) off of live CD and i cannot connect to my wireless router. I can see the wireless router in internet connections but when i try to connect it gives me an error saying The network has been disconnected. So i looked around on the site for a while and found no answer. So if someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I wont be able to post again for about two days

Are you using any sort of encryption on your router?

I don't use FC8 in 'live' mode but the standard installation doesn't include WPA2. Perhaps this is kicking you off?
