Wireless Internet Problems in Ubuntu (hardware: Edimax N300 PCI-E Adapter)
Hi there,
I'm a bit of a newbie and I've just installed Ubuntu on a new computer -- everything's working absolutely perfectly, except one thing. I can't get the wireless internet to work, I presume because it doesn't have the drivers for my PCI-E wireless adapter -- which is an Edimax N300. I tried using ndiswrapper, but with no success (maybe because I didn't really understand what I was doing). I can use the wired internet, however, but that involves taking my computer downstairs, so is a big pain in the arse. If there's anyone who can help me with this, I'll be eternally grateful, as I really need to use the web wirelessly and don't want to have to install Windows, as I'm sure you can understand. (Obviously, I'm typing this from a different computer)
Many thanks
EDIT: Terminal output below.

Wlan0 is your wireless card working with a DRIVER.
I don't run Ubuntu 12 so I am just letting you know that the card is powered up and working OK. All you need to do is use the Network Manager in Ubuntu to connect to your wireless router.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/In...ectionSharing/
Maybe/hopefully between the above and below link you can learn how network manager works in connecting to wifi in Ubuntu.
