Still need the info I requested. But since it's RHEL, you may need the full path for lspci
Code:
/sbin/lspci -vnn |

Hmm, perhaps RHEL is different, but the lspci output should look more like this.
Code:
03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g [14e4:4315] (rev 01) Code:
/sbin/lspci | grep -i net |
00:08.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5 Wavelan chipset (rev 01)
00:0b.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) |
Never mind, this is the pci id for your card: 1260:3873
This uses the orinoco_pci driver, which is loading. What is the output of Code:
iwconfig |
If you can walk us through a little more exactly how you are trying to setup the wireless, it would help. This card should be working from what I can see so far.
One thing I note, usually the interface would be called wlan0, not eth1, but that isn't always the case. The output of iwconfig will show what the interface is called. After that try Code:
su - Does the second command give a list of available networks? |
when i try to post the output of iwconfig it gives me error mess

Post the entire output of Code:
dmesg |
what is the name of the router you are trying to connect to (is it called test) ?
: Code:
lspci # will tell us the pci devices you have in your system. is there a way to disable those stupid smileys (not aimed at original poster -- that happens to me to) ? |
