ok i have a narsty virus on my laptop, and i've decided to say goodbye to MS XP and switch over to SLAX linux. only thing is i dont know how to get my built in wireless to activate. I have a HP pavillion notebook. any help? :confused:

If you posted the specs of your laptop, it would be possible to give you a more accurate solution. You will surely be needing the proper drivers for your card!

so if i get the drivers, which are .exe files, from the HP site. and run them using WINE it should be able to work?

well i guess that would not be a good option. It would be better if you found out which wireless card are you using and then use the Linux drivers for the same. Please also post your computer's configuration so we may be able to help.
