Wireless connecting
How do i connect wireless Netgear WG311c3 with Linux 6..
which is software i require for this work ???????????? |
Linux 6? What's that? Do you mean Red Hat 6? Centos 6? Please tell us the Distro you're using. If it's a server type distribution I'd reckon the WiFi software may not be included as servers tend to be hard wired into data centre infrastructures. WiFi is less secure and not as fast as a cabled connection.

Friend i am talking about Red hat server Linux 6....

If you're running Red Hat you should be able to use your support contract to ask them how to solve your problem.

i am really Sorry for being share the wrong info..
i have Netgear WG311v3 plz help me ??????????? |
My appologies, for some reason I thought the WG311v3 was a router rather than a WiFi network card. :( All I have been able to find out is that the chip set is apparently Marvell chipset 88w8335 and you'll probably have to use ndiswrapper to get it to work. Ndiswrapper is a sort of layer which allows you to use Windows drivers as Linux ones may not exist. Unfortunately, as I'm not very knowledgeable about its use, someone else may have to help you.
I did find this explanation with relation to Fedora (which is based on Red Hat)though... http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=234711 Hope it helps. Good luck! Play Bonny! :hattip: |
Thanks For your help, but it's enough for me...

you MUST have a paid for support contract ask red hat you Bought the REQUIRED support license ? you did right ? red hat is not free you MUST pay for it if not then DO NOT USE IT instead install one of the FREE rebuilds CentOS 6 ScientificLinux6 basically if you do NOT pay for RHEL you DO NOT INSTALL anything on it . |
