wireless card suddenly stoped working
 

Hi all

I have been using linksys wpc11 card for a while. Yesterday I was trying to load hostap drivers and now my card is not being recognized as a wireless device.

"cardtl ident" does give me a correct output

The link light is ON (not blinking) and the Tx/Rx light is dead.

I was using this card. I cant even probe to get the MAC address.

Help appretiated.

do you have a duel boot system or VMware.

Try in windows. If it does not work there I would say your card in funked.

The solution :
I got that card working http://linux.oldcrank.com/tips/wpc11/ had a good howto .. though it didnt directly work for me

I was playing with hostap previously... removing the hostap.conf from /etc/pcmcia did the trick.
