what is the file extension? generally linux third party driver comes in 3 binary forms.

1. ".bin" or ".sh"
If this is the case just do "./" .

2. ".rpm"
This will only works for linux that support rpm such as Mandrake, Redhat and etc.

3. ".exe"
If you got this is not for linux. Go get another one.

If the file is in ".tgz" or "tar.gz" or "tar.bz2" , you probably need to compile it. To "unzip" it

1. "tgz" or "tar.gz"
tar -zxvf thefile

2. "tar.bz2"
tar -jxvf thefile

after that you have to read the README to go on....
