Any installer will offer you the choice of formatting your existing drive and/or deleting partitions. Do that. |

Again: boot from installation media, and when you get to the part about formatting your drive, DO IT. There are also most likely installation instructions on the distro websites that tell you exactly how to install whatever it is you've downloaded. |

That's a 32-bit machine. Make sure you download 32-bit versions of Linux to try out. Puppy might be a good distro to try here. |

You say it 'doesn't work'....what do you actually DO from that screen? Have you clicked the "Install Lubuntu.." button?? |

Clearly shown there is an icon titled "Install Lubuntu 19.10". What's the problem? Have you not tried to run that? Suggest you do. |

Last thing to try is a GParted - somehow I can not add photos |

Linux does not speak Windows. The formatted partitions will appear in fdisk or cfdisk or gparted as /dev/sda[something or other]. |
Linux does not see drives a Letters like Windows. if you want to wipe it. most, not all distros have a wipe drive and install there distro option. just pick that and let it do its thing, after you've entered your user name / password. which just means select install distro, then read and follow the prompts.

Under Lubuntu applications I see Disk Utility.
You should be able to do what you like with the disk with that application. |
