Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

WineX problems
I installed WineX3.1 correctly on my system and succesfully installed Warcraft 3. Unfortuantely, when i executed the shortcut on my desktop, it only resolved in a black screen on my desktop. The shortcut went to:
winex3 "C:/sw/WC3/War3.exe" -- -opengl
So i removed the opengl and tried again... This time it did work but lagged so much i could barely move my mouse. I think this may be a problem with my drivers, but what I have heard is that Nvidia cards are well supported in linux. I use a Geforce4 Ti4200. If i need to get drivers, where? and if there is a way to fix this, plz help!! Thanks you guys
oh and the drivers...go to the LQ.org newbie fourm and there is a set of instructions there....its the topmost post in that fourm as its a sticky thread....or just go to www.nvidia.com and read the readme file as you will gain the same knowledge on how to do it.
that is why your game is laggy anyways, cause the generic drivers don't have 3d capabilities...
