WineX or something
is WineX used like wine.. but for gaming?
its not free is it? where can i download it for free? |
Yes , it's game-oriented if there is such a term.
It is freely available by cvs. Go to:http://www.transgaming.com/license.php?source=1 and you will find directions on how to download it Packages (rpm, deb, tgz binaries) require a very small fee (about $5 per month). Of course from cvs you will get source code and you will have to compile it yourself... |

Everything! (just a joke)
From the page (just below the link you clicked on) To checkout a new CVS respository: 1. cvs -d:pserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot login 2. When prompted for the password enter "cvs" 3. cvs -z3 -d:pserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot co winex So go to to an empty dir in your pc and ran those commands. In case you dont have cvs , reach for your install disks/location and install it. It's definetely there somewhere. Good Luck. |
Damn those icons!
Replace those :p with \:\p (but without the slashes) or check it out again in the page! |
or show your support and pay the $5 a month. Then you get WineX and the front end Point2Play.

www.winehq.org
Click download, and then pick the rpm you want :) Or.. if you have Gentoo, just do emerge wine And it'll do it all for you :) Wine is like Winex, in my opinion they are preety much euqal when it comes to games, and wine is much better with applications |
i need help getting winex though... wine wont play all the games will it?
i couldnt even get wine to run kazaa or excursion from xp :( |
There is no where to go ;)
Open a terminal Type the commands as that you saw on that page. That is $#] cvs -d \:\pserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot login When prompted for the password enter "cvs" $#] cvs -z3 -d \:\pserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot co winex You will probably see the files been downloaded to your dir After that hust follow instructions in readme files .... |
