Wine/Toolbar/Terminal Question

I'm relatively new to Linux and have installed Ubuntu 6.10 (which I'm absolutely loving).

My question is, this: I've set up an icon on the toolbar to launch a program via Wine. It's working well but has one minor annoyance: It also opens a terminal window that kills the program when closed. Is there a way to set up the command to launch it without opening a terminal, to automatically kill the terminal without ending the program or, if nothing else, to have the terminal open minimized? (I'm a neat freak about my workspace and having extra/unnecessary windows opens really bugs me )

Are you using the gnome desktop environment? If so, right-click on your icon, select properties and un-check the "run in terminal" option.
