Question Wine Installation/Configuration??

Okay..I've downloaded Wine, install it with the RPM what?

where is it? what configuring do I need to do? doez one Xecute Wine??

Sorry.completely lost on this one..

Hi !!!

Ok, if you installed wine succesfully then you need to edit the file "wine.conf" located in


to match your system drives, mount points, winblows directories, etc.

Now to execute wine change to the windows directory (in a console or terminal) where your program is installed, and type:

wine programname.exe

that should do it, if you want more options try

wine --help

to see more options available.

I use codeweavers wine, it has GUI and the configuration is quite easy, you can download it at:
