wine installation
I'm running RedHat 9 and I am trying to install wine by following the instruction manual I download from winehq (bottom of page 12).
My first problem is that I am not exactly sure which version of wine to download -- four versions are listed under RedHat 9. I think the versions are listed by CPU processor, so I downloaded the version i686 since I have a Pentium4 processor. I also downloaded the i386 versions. I get the same problem on both downloads. I click on the rmp and get the message: Unlocateable package: libglut.so.3 So, I try the manual method from terminal. That gives me more unlocateable files: libglut.so.3 libGLU.so.1 libarttsc.so.0 libsane.so.1 libusb-0.1.so.4 I have no idea what these files are, where I would get them, or what to do with them once I am them. What do I do now? Thanks for your help. |
The libglut is for OpenGL support.
You can find RPM at rpmfind.net and rpm.pbone.net. RPM files can get you into trouble because some RPM files depends on several dozen files. |
