Question Wine in full screen mode not on top\foreground

Hi, Im new to linux and may not use the correct terminology so please over look it. Ok the issue Im having is with Wine. When I run an application in full screen mode the top and bottom taskbars on ubuntu 7 remain in foreground. This makes gaming kinda annoying. How would I go about setting Wine to appear over the task bars. If the issue is ubuntu and not wine where do i change the task bar setting ?
Thanks.

Distro : Ubuntu 7
Application : Wine Emulating Starcraft/Broodwar and Diablo 1

Try seeing if you can modify the focusing/placement properties of the toolbars through some of the Gnome preferences.

You might even want to try gconf for the deep 'n dirty Gnome configuring (but let's hope it doesn't resort to that).

I've never had this problem, but then again, I used Cedega for playing Starcraft.
