wine help
 

So i'm looking to install wine, so I can run some of my windows programs from linux obviously... Basically, I really like Linux and I'd like to continue to use it on a more regular basis, but I find myself going back to linux because I'm comfortable with alot of the programs and such that it offers. Anyways, I think with wine, i would be able to run some programs in linux and it would help me get more comfortable with linux. Now, I've come to realize wine takes a little skill to configure. Is there any webpage that would take a newbie step by step through an installation and configuration? I've been checking out the winehq.com site, and it just seems a little complicated. WOuld anyone be able to walk me through? I guess I just want something I can get a better grasp of then blindly trying to understand something more complicated than I can comprehend.

http://winehq.com that's what I used. You'll need to do some editing on your configuration file but you should be able to figure that out
