Wine and MS Access

I have Suse 9.2 installed on a laptop. I want to run MS Access through Wine. The Wine package is installed by default with the Suse instalation. How do I go aboat installing MS Access with Wine? I did notice that a Wine folder exist in the "Home" folder if I select to show all folders. I also noticed the description with the package says you need to install Windows or part of it to make it work correctly. Can anybody help me get it right?

You can't. At least, it won't run flawlessly and you will need luck. I would put wine off the table for this. I would look into Crossover Office instead:

if you have Access 2000, there is a tiny little possibility that it will work. 2002 won't.

Always when trying to run Windows applications in Linux with wine, check this site:

The very best you can do, however, is to find an equivalent program in Linux, native. Here is a great place to look:

Still, my ultimate advice would be to drop Access all together and use a _real_ database as MySQL (portable, free) or keep running Windows if access is so important for you

Good luck!
