Windows xp and grub


hello,

I have the following partitions, Windows on sda1:

/dev/sda9 8555 9729 9438156 8e Linux LVM
I did the following in order to be able to boot linux and Windows. From the rescue mode I ran the following command:

grub-install /dev/sda1


the following is my grub.conf:

but the problem now is, when I select Windows from my bootloader menu I am redirected again to the bootloader counter, but if i selected Fedora link i can boot fine!!

please help!!

It's because you put it on /dev/sda1. You should have put it on the MBR /dev/sda. Now when you select it, it selects itself. I'd suggest you repair your Windows install with the rescue CD, then reinstall grub on the MBR.
