windows won't boot

Hi, I have win 2k on my C drive, 4.3gb, and recently added a 10gb hdd, I installed linux on it, and when I boot, grub shows up, asking for wich os to boot, I select linux, it boots without any problem, but when I select windows, it shows me :

Booting 'DOS'

rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

and stays that way...

what have I done wrong ?

Is Windows on the first disk?

If so you need to change the root entry in the wondows secdion of your grub.conf to (hd0,0)

(hd0,0) in grub is the first parition on the master device on the primary IDE controler (hd0) is mrb). (hd0,1) is second parition etc.

well eventually i realised i plugged the disk with the mbr on IDE2, so now i'm reinstalling...
