Windows User Authentication
I'm running Fedora Core 3 and windows 2000 AD.
I have 50 + users on the Windows box I am trying to get the users on the Windows box to be able to log into the linux box without having to set up new accounts on the linux box. If someone could provide some basic instructions or a link, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you |
Giving them the username/password of an already existing account is afaict the only way you can have them log in without creating new users.
But why is creating new users a problem? |
The 2000 server will have 2000 plus users
The 2000 server is going to eventually have 2000 + users on its AD db... I'm trying to have users able to access their samba shares and login to the linux server w/o having to make a second acct for them on the linux box

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
