I don't think any windows registry cleaner would work on Ubuntu or Linux or anything other than Windows. CCleaner it's meant for Windows, there shouldn't be a surprise that it's not working. Install and run it on Windows, why not, it's much easier than other options out there. Yeah, I agree, that you can also run a repair install with your Windows disk because you need to find out what caused those errors and corrupted files, but try the windows registry cleaner in the first place, maybe it works.

Yes, you use it from Linux to fix winblow$ also virus scanning.
