Windows Placement

I have a monitor running at 800 x 600 pixels. I have noticed several apps that place windows that don't fit the screen size. Sometimes I can not reach the apply or ok buttons at the bottom of dialogs and I can't drag the window up far enough to uncover it.

Any suggestions? Do I have X configured wrong?

These are bugs in the application. Most Linux developers run at 1024x768 at the lowest, this can lead to some poorly designed UIs to be larger than they really need to be. Please report them to the relevant tracker database.

You can move windows around by holding down alt and dragging the contents, the key combo for your WM may be slightly different, that's what works in Metacity/GNOME2.

Please don't double post. It's in the rules that you have recently signed up to as it can really confuse matters.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

Thankyou for your help. I apologize for the double post. Didn't know what I was doing.
