sorry its so long and full of typos, i got FS names and hex codes wrong no doubt. hope it helped someone.....

I've used partition magic to set up some partitions to run Linux on. the current XP - Home partition is labelled as NTFS this hasn't been changed so i'm guessing it is the default for many XP Home users.
