Windows partition - cannot change permissions
Hello all
I just installed Mandrake 9.2. I have not had this problem before, but I am now. I created a user for myself and Mandrake automatically configured the two Windows partitions to be /mnt/win_c and /mnt/win_d. The user and group are set to 'root' automatically. However, I need to change it so my non-root account can have access to these files. I tried using 'su' and doing a chown and chgrp but it says I do not have sufficient access to do that. I even tried logging in as root and doing it via the command line and the file explorer. Both give me the same results... why can I not change the permissions? And how can I make it accessible to my other account?
Thanks
